Katherine Sendrowicz, Architect

Katherine has over 22 years of experience in the design industry working in leadership roles at top design firms in Canada, such as Core Architects, HOK, Cannon, NORR and Humphreys and Partners Architects (HPA), where she held a position as a Director of the Ontario practice, and currently as Owner of Projekts. Katherine has a long history of effectively executing and leading many complex, challenging and award-winning projects and takes great pride in her focused dedication and passion for the architectural industry.

Over 70 projects in her portfolio, she has a wealth of expertise and experience in various design typologies with numerous award-winning commercial and residential projects in the popular King West District of Toronto, such as 75 Portland (in collaboration with Philippe Starck) as well as a new Campus building at the Heritage site of Humber College Lakeshore Campus.

Katherine was able to build on her extensive residential experience by gaining valuable knowledge and skillsets while working with HPA to understand successful design and execution of purpose-built rental and student housing design. This knowledge of the important growing residential sector has positioned her as an industry leader both locally and across Canada. Similarly, her years of experience with high profile Institutional and Commercial projects enabled her to have a rounded knowledge of design approaches, building systems and client needs. Having designed and executed in numerous sectors of architecture from start to finish, provided her with a well-rounded experience and fearless approach in undertaking new challenges.
