Our client approached us because they wanted to stay in their home and wanted to renovate, in order to have room to accommodate their future family.
This project is a perfect example of a much needed approach to densification where lack of housing is an issue, lots are small and antiquated zoning does not support families to grow in their current homes. Instead, we often see them leave urban centers and move to the suburbs due to the lack of appropriate housing or antiquated zoning process.
This project takes an interesting approach to a tight lot, zoning, and a need for new approaches to infill urban lots, that are appropriate.
